What is Integration?

Integration is the process of interconnecting different technical subsystems, applications and data sources so they function as a unified whole – encompassing both physical connection and the ability to meaningfully exchange and use data.

“The broad concept”

Technical Definition: The process of interconnecting different technical subsystems, applications and data sources so they function as a unified whole. Integration encompasses both physical connection and the ability to interpret and exchange data (interoperability).

Why it matters: Integration is what makes a building genuinely “smart”. When the lift communicates with the lighting, or when the energy system reads tomorrow’s weather forecast, real value is created for owners and tenants.

HubMind’s view: Integration is the core of our Engine. We do not build isolated point-to-point connections, but an open architecture where data flows freely and is owned by you as the asset owner.
